Looks like Kmart is having another go at a double coupons event. Last time wasn’t that exciting since they’d only double up for 99 cents, but this time they are doubling coupons up to $1 meaning your $1 coupon is now worth $2!

As always you’ll need to use your Shop Your Way Rewards Card (free to sign-up here or in-store) and only 5 coupons doubled per day.

Kmart is doubling coupons again starting on Sunday! Unfortunately it looks as though they modified the rules again and now are only doubling coupons up to 99 cents rather than $2! This is a bummer meaning no doubling of coupons worth $1 or more. The other rules about this event include:

• Must use your Shop Your Way Rewards Card (free to sign-up)
• Only 5 coupons doubled per day
• Does not include Kmart store coupons or pharmacy coupons

You can see if your store is participating by looking here.  I did ok at the last double events a few weeks ago. You can see my shopping trips here. Unfortunately all the coupons I used were $1 or $2 coupons which don’t look like they will be doubling this event.

I’ve only made a total of three trips to Kmart this week despite it being double coupons. I might head over there in the afternoon after I get out of work and take a nap (since it is the last day of double coupons).

I got everything pictured above for just 59 cents after coupons! Here’s the breakdown:

My total with tax was just 59 cents for everything! Unfortunately I ended up paying $3 for a candy bar! How crazy is that? I was walking out and these two kids had a table with candy bars. I thought they’d be a dollar since most fundraiser candy bars were that price. Turns out they wanted a $3 donation (for a regular sized bar…not even king size!) I’m a sucker and felt obligated since they asked so I handed over $3 for a Carmello. Oh well.

I went to check out Kmart double coupons on health & beauty items. They also have a promotion that when you spend $35 on select P&G products you’ll receive a coupon for $10 off your next purchase of $10 or more. So my goal was to get $35 worth of P&G items to get the $10 coupon. I succeeded! Here’s the breakdown:

My first five coupons doubled including:

$4.69 Tampax Pearl Tampons ($4.69 x 4 =$18.76)
Used $2 off coupon from 6/6 PG or 7/4 PG (doubled to $4)
Final price: 69 cents each ($2.76 total)

$4.45 Gillette Body Wash
Used $2 off coupon from 7/4 PG (doubled to $4)
Final price: 45 cents

$4.45 Gillette Body Wash ($4.45 x 3=$13.35)
Used Buy 1 Get 1 Free Coupon from 6/6 or 7/4 PG
Used one $2 off coupon from 7/4 PG
Final price: $2.30 each ($6.90 total)
I had another buy 1 get 1 free coupon to use, but the cashier either forgot to scan it or I didn’t hand it over! Oh well.

Total of P&G Products: $36.56 so I did receive $10 off my next purchase coupon!

I also purchased a tank top for $8.98. It was on a rack saying it was 50% off, but did not ring up that way. I will be returning it and didn’t include it in my breakdown.

Used $5 off $50 purchase coupon (my total was over $50 with the tank top)
Total after coupons: $6.85 plus $2.36 tax and I received a coupon for $10 off my next purchase!
